ISD S.A., Athens is seeking a highly motivated Electronics Engineer to join the Electronics R&D team and contribute to both PCB design activities and hardware testing, bring-up, and verification of analog and digital electronic systems. The successful candidate will be involved primarily in the validation, debugging, and performance verification of advanced PCB prototypes, while also supporting schematic capture and PCB layout activities, in collaboration with major European partners in the semiconductor, aerospace, and defense sectors. This is a long-term, full-time, on-site position within a technically demanding and innovative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs hardware bring-up, validation, and functional verification of assembled PCBs.
- Develops test procedures, verification reports, and technical documentation.
- Supports the design, development and testing of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) prototypes and custom hardware solutions according to requirements.
- Drives component selection, BOM management, schematic capture, prototyping and documentation.
- Constraint driven high-speed, high-frequency and low noise multi-layer PCB design and layout.
- Modeling and simulation of circuit designs for analysis and performance.
- Supports part-stress, worst-case, and reliability analyses when required.
- Participates actively in internal and external design reviews.
- Acts as a liaison with the PCB manufacturer and the PCB assembler by resolving any DFM or DFA issues.
- Collaborates with multi-discipline engineering teams in terms of system architecture, software, firmware, mechanical, harnessing, integration and test.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor, diploma or MSc/MEng degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
- PCB design experience using any of the industry standard CAD tools (Altium, Cadence, Mentor, KiCad, Fusion).
- Seniority: Entry level having at least 1-3 years of proven experience in PCB design for commercial, telecom, industrial or defense applications.
- Solid understanding and knowledge of analog and digital electronics, transmission line and power management circuit concepts.
- Knowledge of analog circuit simulators such as LTSpice, PSpice, IBIS modelling, Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI) simulations.
- Familiarity with standard test and measurement laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, signal analyzers, etc.)
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English (CEFR level B)
- Fulfilled military obligations for the male candidates.

- Highly motivated individual, capable of autonomous work and conscious about the delivery of the designs in a timely manner by respecting the design requirements, industry standards and quality procedures as applicable.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in designing and implementing mixed-signal circuit boards from concept through verification using FPGAs, processors, DRAM interfaces (DDR), multi-Gbps interfaces (LVDS, LVPECL, USB, Ethernet etc.), low speed interfaces (I2C, SPI, JTAG), data converters (ADC, DAC), PLL based clocking networks, analog conditioning circuits using op-amps (filters, gain blocks) and power management components (DC-DC converters, linear voltage regulators).
- Experience with HDI technology.
- Academic or internship experience with PCB design and testing.
